Blackmagic's flagship — 12K Super 35 cinema camera with PL mount and extraordinary resolution.
The Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K launched in 2020 as Blackmagic's highest-resolution cinema camera, featuring a 12K (12288x6480) Super 35mm sensor. The extraordinary resolution enables massive reframing and future-proofing for evolving display standards.
The 12K sensor records at up to 60fps in Blackmagic RAW with 14 stops of dynamic range. The resolution enables 8K, 4K, and HD crops from a single 12K frame. Dual native ISO at 800 and 3200. The massive data throughput requires fast CFast 2.0 or USB-C SSD storage.
PL and EF mount options. Built-in motorised ND filters (2/4/6 stops). 4-inch LCD touchscreen. 12G-SDI output. Dual CFast 2.0 and USB-C recording. Timecode and genlock. DaVinci Resolve Studio included.
Available used at professional prices. The 12K resolution is overkill for most production but enables extraordinary reframing and VFX compositing flexibility. The PL mount version accesses professional cinema glass. For high-end production and VFX-heavy workflows.
