The Bronica SQ-Ai (1990) is the top-of-range body in the Bronica SQ 6×6 system — the updated version of the SQ-A with AE motor drive coupling and full electronic interface. This is the body-only listing; the same body appears as a bundle in other catalog entries. All SQ-system film backs, lenses, and finders are compatible.

6×6 medium format film SLR, Bronica SQ mount (PS lens series), AE motor drive compatible (SQ Motor Drive), modular film backs, full electronic coupling. Compatible with all Zenzanon-PS lenses, 120/220 film backs, and Bronica finders.

The SQ-Ai as a standalone body is the most capable platform in the SQ system for motor drive and AE prism metering configurations. The 6×6 format provides square composition without pre-commitment to horizontal or vertical framing. Leaf-shutter PS lenses enable full flash sync at any speed regardless of shutter speed selection.
