Canon's premium EF-M prime — 51mm equiv at f/1.4 with quality optics for the discontinued M-mount.
The Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM launched in 2018 as the fastest and most optically ambitious lens in the EF-M system. At 51mm equivalent with f/1.4, it brought genuine fast-prime capability to Canon's compact mirrorless system.
Optically very good — the best EF-M lens Canon made. Sharp from f/2 with pleasant bokeh at f/1.4. STM motor for smooth, quiet AF. Good for both stills and video. The f/1.4 aperture provides real subject separation on APS-C.
Canon EF-M mount with 43mm filter thread. Weighs 235g — compact. No weather sealing. Minimum focus distance 23cm. 7 rounded aperture blades. The premium optics set it apart from other EF-M lenses.
Available used at mid-range prices. EF-M mount is discontinued — Canon moved to RF. This was the swan song of the EF-M system — the best lens for a discontinued mount. For existing M50/M6 II owners who want the best possible EF-M prime.
