Canon's APS-C travel zoom with Nano USM — near-silent, fast AF ideal for video — covering 29-216mm equivalent.
The Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Nano USM (2016) was the first Canon consumer lens with Nano USM AF — the same technology used in L-series glass. It launched alongside the 80D as Canon's flagship APS-C travel zoom.
Centre sharpness is good across the range. Corners soften at 135mm wide open. Nano USM is a real improvement — noticeably faster than STM, with smooth silent operation excellent for video. IS provides about 4 stops.
Canon EF-S mount, 67mm filter. Accepts the optional Power Zoom Adapter PZ-E1 for motorised video zoom — unique in the EF-S lineup. Internal zoom — barrel does not extend. Lens hood EW-73D.
Common used, often separated from 80D kits. Check IS for smooth operation and test AF at both zoom extremes. The Nano USM premium over the IS STM version is worth paying for video use. Excellent one-lens travel solution.
