Canon's lightweight AF film SLR — modern EOS for film with 7-point AF and lightweight design.
The Canon EOS 300V (Rebel Ti in North America) launched in 2002 as one of Canon's last consumer film SLRs. It featured modern 7-point AF with EF-mount lens compatibility — providing familiar Canon operation for film photography.
7-point AF with centre cross-type. Program, aperture-priority, shutter-priority, and manual exposure. 4fps burst with motor drive. E-TTL flash metering. Modern Canon EOS operation applied to film — familiar controls for digital-era photographers.
35mm film. Canon EF mount — same as modern EOS cameras (not EF-S). 7-point AF. Lightweight body at approximately 375g. SD card not needed — uses film. Pop-up flash. Modern Canon control layout.
Available used very cheaply. The EF-mount compatibility is the key attraction — use the same lenses as digital Canon EOS bodies. One of the most modern-feeling film SLRs. For photographers wanting to shoot film with their existing Canon EF lenses.
