Canon's last and most capable APS-C DSLR with 32.5MP sensor and uncropped 4K video.
The Canon EOS 90D launched in 2019 as Canon's final and most capable APS-C DSLR. Combining a 32.5MP sensor with 10fps burst, uncropped 4K video, and the 45-point all-cross-type AF, it represented the pinnacle of Canon's APS-C DSLR development before the mirrorless transition.
Key features include the 32.5MP sensor — the highest resolution Canon APS-C — 45-point all-cross-type viewfinder AF, Dual Pixel AF in live view, 10fps burst, uncropped 4K 30fps video, weather sealing, and dual card slots. The body is substantial with excellent ergonomics.
The 90D was the last Canon APS-C DSLR. The EOS R7 is its mirrorless successor. The 90D offers traditional DSLR handling with an optical viewfinder that some photographers prefer. It is the camera for Canon DSLR loyalists.
Good value used. Check shutter count, both card slots, and Dual Pixel AF in live view. The 32.5MP sensor produces excellent detail. The R7 is the mirrorless upgrade path. The 90D is arguably the best APS-C DSLR Canon ever made.
