Clubman's telephoto macro variant — the 80-200mm with macro for Pentax K mount.
The Clubman 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 Macro for Pentax K adds macro close-focus to the Clubman telephoto formula. The macro mode provides casual close-up capability at telephoto. Same Clubman budget quality. The Pentax K mount with body SR provides stabilisation. The macro mode is the only advantage over the non-macro version.
Same basic Clubman quality as ID 4529. The macro mode provides closer focusing — approximately 1:4 magnification for casual close-up work. Sharpness acceptable stopped down. Variable aperture limits light. The macro mode adds modest versatility to an otherwise basic telephoto. Pentax body SR helps at telephoto distances.
Pentax K mount. Manual focus. Build quality basic. The macro version is marginally preferred over the non-macro version (IDs 4529, 4531) for the additional close-focus capability. Same optical quality otherwise. Benefits from Pentax in-body SR stabilisation across all K-mount lenses.
Very cheap. The macro mode provides the only advantage over non-macro Clubman versions. Not recommended when better K-mount options exist. Only if free with a camera. The macro close-focus is the sole distinguishing feature.
