DJI's FPV drone controller — ergonomic remote with low-latency control for immersive first-person flying.
The DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 is the dual-joystick transmitter for the DJI FPV drone and Avata series, using DJI O3 (OcuSync 3.0) transmission for up to 10km range (FCC) with 7ms control latency. At 346g it is a standard-format RC with Mode 2 layout. Compatible with the DJI FPV drone, Avata, and Avata 2 (when paired with compatible goggles). Battery life approximately 9 hours.
DJI O3 transmission with 10km range (FCC), 6km (CE). Dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. Control latency 7ms. Standard Mode 2 dual-joystick layout. Weight 346g. Battery life approximately 9 hours. Compatible with: DJI FPV drone, DJI Avata, DJI Avata 2 (with DJI Goggles V2, Goggles 2, or Goggles Integra). Note: DJI Avata 2 paired with DJI Goggles 3 requires the RC3, not the RC2.
The FPV RC2 serves the dual-joystick preference within the DJI FPV ecosystem: the companion DJI Motion Controller offers intuitive single-handed tilt control for FPV flying, but many pilots prefer the precision and programmability of conventional dual-joystick RC inputs for normal and Manual mode flight. The 7ms O3 control latency supports responsive Manual mode inputs where frame-rate-synchronised control latency matters.
On the used market the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 is available as a standalone accessory. Condition checks: joystick mechanism smoothness, spring tension consistency, button function, and antenna condition. Confirm O3 firmware version and compatibility with intended DJI aircraft and goggles combination — Avata 2 with Goggles 3 requires the RC3. No imaging sensor or lens mount.
