DJI's compact foldable drone in extended kit, the predecessor to the Mavic Air 2.
The DJI Mavic Air Fly More Combo packages the original DJI Mavic Air — announced in January 2018 — with three batteries, a multi-charging hub, ND filter set (ND4, ND8, ND16), and a shoulder bag. The Mavic Air was DJI's compact drone above the Mavic Mini tier, featuring a 12MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor, 4K/30fps recording, and three-directional obstacle avoidance in a folding design. The original Mavic Air is a distinct product from the Mavic Air 2 (2020), which uses a larger sensor and different design.
The 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor records 4K at up to 30fps and 1080p at up to 120fps for slow motion. Three-directional obstacle avoidance covers forward, backward, and downward. Maximum flight time approximately 21 minutes per battery at 430g drone weight. The Fly More Combo adds two additional batteries (three total) for approximately 63 minutes total available flight time, a multi-charge hub for simultaneous sequential charging, an ND filter set, and a carrying bag.
The Fly More Combo's primary practical value is the additional batteries: 21 minutes of flight time per battery limits a single-battery Mavic Air to one short session per charge. Three batteries provide approximately three sessions before recharging is required. The ND filters enable the 180° shutter rule in bright conditions — essential for cinematic video with natural motion blur. The multi-charge hub allows all three batteries to be charged sequentially from one outlet overnight.
On the used market the original Mavic Air Fly More Combo is affordable as a 4K compact consumer drone kit. Confirm this is the original Mavic Air (2018), not the Mavic Air 2 (2020) — the two use different batteries and accessories. Condition checks: all three battery health ratings (flight time per charge), gimbal operation, propellers, and both displays for the remote controller. Fixed integrated lens; not interchangeable.
