DJI's palm-sized gimbal camera with 64MP stills and 4K video — the ultimate pocket stabilised camera.
The DJI Pocket 2 was released in 2020 as a compact handheld 3-axis mechanical gimbal camera featuring a 64MP 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor and a 4-microphone array (DJI Matrix Stereo). 4K/60fps video at 100 Mbps. At 117g it is pocketable. The built-in 1-inch touchscreen provides live view framing. Mechanical gimbal stabilisation distinguishes it from electronic-only stabilisation systems.
64MP 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor. 4K/60fps at 100 Mbps; 1080p up to 240fps. 3-axis mechanical gimbal (pitch, roll, yaw) stabilisation. 4 built-in microphones (DJI Matrix Stereo for directional audio). Built-in 1-inch touchscreen. Weight 117g. USB-C. Compatible with DJI Pocket 2 accessory mount.
The 4-microphone Matrix Stereo array is the Pocket 2's headline differentiator over the original Osmo Pocket: the original had a single microphone positioned so that the user's hand blocked the pickup. The DJI Matrix Stereo positions four microphones for omnidirectional coverage with software-switchable directionality modes. The mechanical gimbal provides hardware stabilisation without image crop — electronic EIS systems require a crop to compensate for frame movement.
On the used market the DJI Pocket 2 is available at mid-range handheld gimbal camera pricing. Condition checks: 3-axis gimbal mechanism and motor operation, lens element for scratches, built-in touchscreen responsiveness, and USB-C port condition. Fixed wide-angle lens; no interchangeable mount.
