Fujifilm's slim travel zoom — 14MP CCD, 28-280mm 10x, CCD-shift stabilisation, 720p video, 2012
The FinePix T350 was a slim travel-zoom compact in Fujifilm's T-series, announced in January 2012 alongside the FinePix T400. It came from the final generation of Fujifilm's budget CCD compacts, squeezing a 10x zoom into a pocketable body sold in black, blue and other finishes. The closely related T360 variant shares the same owner's manual.
It pairs a 14-megapixel 1/2.3in CCD sensor with a Fujinon 10x optical zoom covering a 28-280mm equivalent range, backed by CCD-shift image stabilisation. The rear carries a 3.0in LCD with no viewfinder. ISO runs 100-1600, the mechanical shutter spans 8s to 1/2000s, and video records at 1280x720 HD. It stores to SD/SDHC cards, is powered by Fujifilm's NP-45A rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and weighs about 159g with battery and card.
The T350 suits travellers and casual users who want real telephoto reach in a genuinely pocketable camera. Face detection and scene automation keep operation simple, while the stabiliser helps at the long end. The small CCD sensor limits low-light quality, so it is happiest outdoors in decent light.
Used examples are cheap and plentiful. The NP-45A battery and its chargers remain widely available as aftermarket items, and standard SD cards keep running costs low; check a charger or USB lead is included. Extend the 10x zoom fully to confirm the barrel moves smoothly without grinding, and inspect the large screen for scratches.
