The Fujifilm GF 45mm f/2.8 R WR launched alongside the GFX 50S as the system's wide-angle prime, providing approximately 36mm equivalent on medium format. It offers a versatile wide perspective with medium format image quality for landscape and architectural work.

Optically excellent — sharp across the large medium format frame from f/4. The 36mm equivalent perspective is slightly wider than standard, useful for environmental portraits, landscapes, and street photography. Autofocus is quiet and accurate for a medium format lens.

Fujifilm G mount with 62mm filter thread. Weighs 490g — compact for medium format. Weather-resistant construction. Minimum focus distance 45cm. Aperture ring with 1/3-stop clicks. 9 rounded aperture blades. Metal construction.

Available used at mid-range prices. One of the more affordable GF lenses. The 36mm equivalent is a versatile wide-angle perspective — wider than the GF 63mm f/2.8 standard but not ultra-wide. Check for firmware updates. A good starting wide-angle for the GFX system.
