Fujifilm's compact macro for X-mount — 91mm equiv at f/2.4 with 1:2 magnification and sharp optics.
The Fujifilm XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro launched in 2012 as one of the original X-mount primes, providing 91mm equivalent with 1:2 half-macro magnification. It serves double duty as both a macro and portrait lens for the X-mount system.
Optically excellent — sharp from f/2.8 with outstanding macro performance. The 91mm equiv provides comfortable working distance at 1:2 magnification. The f/2.4 aperture enables decent subject separation for portraits. Internal DC motor AF is adequate but not fast.
Fujifilm X mount with 39mm filter thread — an unusual and compact size. Weighs 215g. No weather sealing. No OIS stabilisation. Minimum focus distance 26.7cm at 1:2 magnification. Aperture ring with 1/3-stop clicks. Metal construction.
Available used at budget to mid-range prices. The 1:2 magnification limits true macro work — the XF 30mm f/2.8 Macro offers 1:1. The DC motor AF is slow by modern standards. The 39mm filter thread is unusual. A sharp short tele and 1:2 macro that doubles as a portrait lens.
