The GoPro Hero 6 Black launched in 2017 with GoPro's custom GP1 processor, enabling 4K 60fps recording for the first time in a GoPro. It also introduced improved electronic stabilisation that would evolve into HyperSmooth in later models.
Records 4K 60fps and 2.7K 120fps — significant jumps over the Hero 5 Black. The GP1 processor improves low-light performance, colour accuracy, and dynamic range. Electronic image stabilisation is notably improved but not yet the full HyperSmooth of the Hero 7 Black. 12MP stills with RAW.
