The 503CX refined — TTL flash in a mechanical V body, bridge to the long-running 503CW.
The 1994 Hasselblad 503CXi updated the 503CX with an improved winder interface and internal refinements, keeping TTL flash metering in the mechanical V-system body.
Like the CX it meters OTF flash through the film with dedicated units, while everything else stays battery-free mechanical - leaf shutters in the lenses, the classic square 6x6 negative.
Its significance is as the bridge between the 503CX and the long-running 503CW: less common than either, it often trades slightly below the CW despite near-identical capability.
Used buying: verify the flash TTL contacts and winder coupling work, check magazine seals and darkslide fit, and treat lens shutter accuracy as the real service item - bodies rarely fail.
