Hasselblad's CF wide-normal — the T*-coated Zeiss Distagon CF 60mm f/3.5 for the 6x6 V system.
The Carl Zeiss Distagon CF 60mm f/3.5 is the CF-generation version of the moderate wide-angle for the Hasselblad V system, with the Prontor CF leaf shutter and rubberised control rings. It replaced the earlier C 60mm and continued as a wide-normal lens sitting just broader than the 80mm, popular as a general-purpose focal length for the 6x6 reflex bodies.
This is a manual-focus Hasselblad V lens with a built-in leaf shutter, the CF design giving separate aperture and shutter rings and an F setting for focal-plane-shutter bodies. Its maximum aperture is f/3.5 and it covers the 6x6 frame rectilinearly as a retrofocus Distagon. It carries the T* multicoating of the CF line, improving flare control over the older single-coated C optics.
The slightly wide field of a 60mm keeps perspective natural and lines straight when the camera is level, suiting landscape, architecture, interiors and everyday shooting. Many V-system users chose it as their standard lens in place of the 80mm for the extra coverage, finding it flexible enough for both scenics and closer environmental work while remaining compact and easy to handle on the body.
The CF 60mm is common used and reasonably priced. Confirm the CF leaf shutter runs cleanly at all speeds and that the C/F selector works, then check the glass for haze, fungus and separation and the T* coating for cleaning marks. Verify the focus helicoid is smooth and the aperture blades dry. As with all CF lenses, a shutter that hesitates at slow speeds points to a service being due.
