Hasselblad's wide-angle for H system — the HCD 28mm f/4 covering ultra-wide on 645 digital.
The Hasselblad HCD 28mm f/4 is a wide-angle lens from Hasselblad's H-system digital range (HCD = Hasselblad Digital Compact), designed specifically for the H-system's digital backs with a slightly retrofitted optical design for digital sensor coverage. It provides wide-angle coverage on the H-system medium format sensor.
The lens delivers 28mm at f/4 maximum aperture with a central leaf shutter for full flash sync at all shutter speeds, Hasselblad H-mount coupling for H4D, H6D, and compatible bodies, and coverage optimised for digital H-system sensors.
The HCD designation distinguishes it from the older HC series as being optimised for digital capture at the sensor plane, with reduced focus-shift and improved performance at wide apertures for digital medium format use. The 28mm on H-system medium format provides approximately 22mm full-frame equivalent coverage.
Test leaf shutter operation at all speeds. Verify full flash sync capability at maximum shutter speed. Inspect element condition. Check H-mount coupling. Test on a compatible H-system body for AF accuracy.
