The Hasselblad XCD 55mm f/2.5 is a standard prime lens for the Hasselblad X system, including the X1D and X2D medium format mirrorless cameras. At 55mm on Hasselblad's 44x33mm sensor, it provides approximately a 43mm equivalent field of view — a classic normal perspective. It was one of the launch lenses for the revolutionary X1D system.

Optical performance is exceptional, as expected from Hasselblad. Sharpness is outstanding across the frame even at f/2.5, with virtually no visible aberrations. The medium format sensor combined with f/2.5 produces noticeable depth of field separation despite the modest aperture. Colour rendition and micro-contrast are in a class of their own, delivering the medium format look.

Hasselblad XCD mount, electronic leaf shutter built into the lens enabling flash sync at all speeds up to 1/2000s — a significant advantage for studio and outdoor flash work. Filter thread is 55mm.
