Insta360's 360-degree action camera with 5.7K capture and FlowState stabilisation — for creative VR content.
The Insta360 ONE X was released in 2018 as a 360-degree action camera featuring dual 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensors with f/2.0 aperture, capturing 5.7K/30fps full 360° spherical video. At approximately 115g with battery. The ONE X is not natively waterproof — water protection requires an optional case (Venture Case for splash and 5m; Dive Case for 30m).
Dual 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensors, f/2.0 fixed. 5.7K/30fps (360°); 4K/50fps; 3K/100fps. Approximately 115g with battery (91g body only). Not waterproof without a case — Venture Case provides splash and 5m protection. Insta360 Stabilisation. Compatible with Insta360 mounting accessories.
The 5.7K full-sphere capture is the ONE X's primary capability: at 5.7K resolution, a 2x crop to traditional 4K maintains full HD resolution output from any viewing direction within the sphere — enabling post-capture reframing to any perspective without shooting multiple cameras. The dual sensors provide full 360° coverage for invisible monopod stitching. The lack of native waterproofing is a practical workflow consideration for outdoor 360° photography.
On the used market the Insta360 ONE X is affordable as a vintage 360° action camera. Condition checks: dual lens elements for scratches and stitching alignment, battery health, and waterproof case condition if included. Not waterproof without the case. Fixed dual wide-angle lenses; no interchangeable mount.
