The Insta360 ONE X2 was released in 2020 as a pocket 360-degree action camera, featuring dual 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensors behind dual fisheye lenses. Maximum 360° video is 5.7K (5760×2880) at 30/25/24fps. Steady Cam mode renders a single-direction stabilised view. IPX8 waterproof to 10m without a housing. At 149g. 1630mAh battery rated approximately 80 minutes at 5.7K/30fps.
Dual 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensors. 5.7K/30fps (360 mode); 4K/50fps (360 mode); 3K/100fps. Steady Cam single-direction mode: up to 2560×1440/50fps or 1080p/50fps. IPX8 waterproof to 10m natively (45m with dive case). 1630mAh battery (~80 min at 5.7K/30fps). 149g. Fixed dual fisheye lenses; no interchangeable mount.
The Steady Cam mode is the ONE X2's primary differentiator from dedicated 360-only cameras: the dual fisheye image pair is reframed in post or in-camera to produce a conventional single-direction stabilised video, with the 360° capture providing FlowState stabilisation headroom. The 10m native waterproofing eliminates the need for a housing for surface water activities.
On the used market the Insta360 ONE X2 is affordable as a portable 360 action camera. Condition checks: lens elements (both fisheye surfaces) for scratches, battery health, waterproof seals (inspect port and lens cover condition). Fixed dual fisheye lenses; no interchangeable mount.
