The Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro is a purpose-designed 2:1 maximum magnification macro lens for Canon RF APS-C cameras, part of Venus Optics' (Laowa) Ultra Macro series. 2× magnification produces a 2:1 subject-to-sensor reproduction ratio — the image on the sensor is twice the actual subject size, enabling extreme close-up detail capture beyond standard 1:1 macro.

65mm focal length, f/2.8 maximum aperture, 2:1 maximum magnification (2× life size), Canon RF mount (APS-C intended), manual focus only.

The 2× macro capability is the primary differentiator — standard macro lenses are limited to 1:1, making this lens suitable for extreme close-up photography of insects, circuit board details, watch components, and biological specimens.
