Leica's compact APS-C mirrorless with L-Mount — EVF and rangefinder styling in small body.
The Leica CL was released approximately 2017 as a compact APS-C mirrorless for L-Mount (TL system) featuring a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor. 4K/30fps video. Small form factor with touch-screen controls. At approximately 403g with battery. L-Mount (APS-C TL system — accepts both TL/SL-series L-mount lenses).
24.2MP APS-C CMOS (same sensor as TL2). 4K/30fps; 1080p/120fps. Touch-screen-first control interface. EVF (2.36M dots). BP-DC13 battery. At approximately 403g with battery. L-Mount (full L-Mount: TL, SL, Panasonic S, Sigma fp lenses all fit).
The CL provides Leica's most compact L-Mount body: at 403g it is significantly lighter than the SL2 full-frame bodies. The APS-C sensor accepts the full L-mount ecosystem including full-frame L-mount lenses (which appear cropped to APS-C). The touchscreen-first interface reflects the CL's consumer-oriented positioning within the Leica lineup.
On the used market the Leica CL is affordable as a compact L-Mount APS-C body. Condition checks: sensor for dust, EVF display quality, BP-DC13 battery health. Compatible with all L-Mount lenses (FF lenses apply APS-C crop).
