Minolta SR-mount mechanical film SLR from 1976 with CLC centre-weighted metering — mid-range SRT body between the SRT 101 and the later XD series.

The Minolta SRT 100X (1977) is a manual exposure SLR from Minolta's SRT (Single Reflex TTL) series — the longest-running film SLR line in Minolta's history, produced from 1966 through the late 1970s. The 100X features Minolta's Contrast Light Compensator (CLC) metering system that evaluates both bright and shadow areas.

The SRT 100X's CLC metering was Minolta's response to the problem of highlight-biased meters — it samples multiple areas of the scene to reduce blown highlights. The Minolta MD mount accepts all SR/MC/MD lenses produced from 1958 onward. As a manual SLR on a robust all-metal body, the SRT 100X is a reliable platform for Minolta MD glass.

Test CLC metering accuracy against a reference exposure. Check shutter at all speeds. Inspect viewfinder screen condition. Test open-aperture metering coupling with an MD or MC lens. Check film door seals. Battery: PX625 — verify using MR-9 adapter or silver oxide equivalent.
