Mid-1960s Miranda SLR with CdS TTL metering and dual-mount lens compatibility.
The Miranda G is a 35mm SLR from Miranda Camera Company of Japan, a later model in the Miranda line with improved metering and exposure features over earlier Miranda models. Miranda cameras used a proprietary bayonet mount with an inner Exakta-compatible T-thread, accepting both Miranda lenses and adapted Exakta-style glass.
Miranda bayonet mount (with inner Exakta-compatible T-thread), 35mm SLR, TTL metering (improved over earlier Miranda models), focal-plane shutter, compatible with Miranda and adapted Exakta-style lenses.
The Miranda G brought more sophisticated metering to the Miranda line, making it more competitive with contemporary Nikon, Canon, and Minolta SLRs. The dual-mount compatibility (Miranda bayonet + Exakta T-thread adapter) gives access to a broad range of vintage glass. A collectable Japanese SLR from an independent manufacturer that ceased production in the early 1980s.
Test shutter function and TTL metering accuracy. Inspect viewfinder and mirror condition. Confirm Miranda bayonet engagement. Check light seals. Battery check is important as metering requires specific battery types that may need modern equivalents.
