Vintage Miranda SLR camera kit with four prime lenses and accessories.
Miranda SLR cameras (1955–1976) were produced by the Orion Camera Company (later Miranda Camera Co.) of Tokyo. Miranda developed a technically advanced SLR with an interchangeable viewfinder system ahead of competitors, and used a distinctive dual-mount bayonet accepting both Miranda-bayonet lenses and T-thread lenses simultaneously. The system was eventually displaced by Nikon, Canon, and Pentax.
35mm SLR, Miranda proprietary bayonet mount (with T-thread compatibility), TTL metering (varies by model: Automex, Sensorex, D, F, G etc.), focal plane shutter. Specific specifications depend on the exact model in the kit.
Miranda SLRs are collector-interest cameras — the interchangeable viewfinder system and dual-mount capability are historically significant. Miranda-mount lenses are not compatible with other systems; however, T-thread lenses (via T-mount adapters) work on any Miranda body. Miranda-branded Soligor lenses were common third-party optics. Confirm the specific model (Automex, Sensorex, G, D, F) for accurate specification and lens compatibility.
Confirm the specific Miranda body model. Test all mechanical shutter speeds. Check light seals. Test TTL metering if applicable. Inspect Miranda bayonet mount for wear. Verify any included lenses match the mount type (bayonet vs T-thread).
