Mitakon was a third-party lens brand sold through camera importers in the 1970s-80s, alongside contemporaries like Vivitar, Soligor and Hanimex. This 80-200mm macro-focusing zoom was a budget telephoto for SLR owners wanting one lens for portraits through to close-up work.

A manual-focus zoom covering 80-200mm at a constant f/4.5, with multi-coated optics badged MC. A macro switch near the long end allows close focusing, and the lens takes 52mm filters. It was sold in Canon FD, Pentax K, Minolta MD and Olympus OM mounts.
