The Nikon AF Micro Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 is an autofocus macro prime for the Nikon F mount — one of the first Nikon AF macro lenses. Provides macro capability to 1:1 without extension. AF via screw-drive. Nikon F mount.

The AF Micro Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 provides autofocus at non-macro distances and manual focus through the macro range. An early AF macro design — effective but slower AF than modern AF-S designs. Distinct from the Ai-S manual version (id 2812) which is purely manual.
