The Nikon AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 85mm f/3.5G ED VR is a dedicated macro lens for Nikon DX-format cameras, achieving true 1:1 life-size magnification with built-in VR stabilisation. The 85mm focal length on DX provides a 127.5mm equivalent working distance that keeps a comfortable gap between camera and subject.

The VR system provides effective image stabilisation essential for handheld macro work where even minor camera movements are magnified. The ED glass element controls chromatic aberration that becomes visible at close focusing distances, and the AF-S motor provides quiet autofocus with manual override for fine-tuning critical macro focus.

Build quality is compact and lightweight, designed specifically for DX-format bodies where it balances well.
