The Nikon Coolpix P600 launched in 2014 as a mid-range bridge camera with 60x optical zoom covering 24-1440mm equivalent. It featured built-in GPS, WiFi, and a vari-angle screen at a practical price point.

Uses a 16.1MP 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensor. Image quality is typical of small-sensor bridges — fine in good light. 60x zoom with Dual Detect VR. Full HD 1080p video. Built-in GPS. WiFi for sharing.

Built-in EVF plus 3-inch vari-angle LCD. 24-1440mm f/3.3-6.5 Nikkor zoom. GPS and WiFi. 565g. Dual Detect VR stabilisation. The P900 extended zoom to 83x and the P1000 to 125x.

Available used very cheaply. The P900 and P1000 have dramatically more zoom. The 1/2.3-inch sensor limits quality. For casual users wanting moderate long-range zoom with GPS at budget prices.
