Nikon's 60x bridge camera — 24-1440mm equiv with GPS and vari-angle screen.
The Nikon Coolpix P600 was released approximately 2014 as a superzoom compact, featuring a 60× optical zoom covering 24-1440mm equivalent. One of the first compact cameras to reach 1440mm equivalent. Fixed zoom — no interchangeable mount.
16MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor. 60× optical zoom (24-1440mm equivalent, f/3.3-6.5). 1080p/60fps video. VR (vibration reduction). Built-in Wi-Fi. Non-tilting LCD. At approximately 481g. Fixed zoom — no interchangeable mount.
The 1440mm equivalent telephoto reach enables extreme long-distance shooting in good light. The small sensor limits low-light and high-resolution performance at the telephoto end. The Coolpix B700 (2016 successor) added an EVF; the P600 has LCD compositing only.
On the used market the Nikon Coolpix P600 is a legacy superzoom compact. Condition checks: zoom mechanism smoothness, VR function, LCD condition, Wi-Fi pairing, battery health (EN-EL23). Fixed zoom — no interchangeable mount.
