The Nikon Coolpix P610 was released approximately 2015 as a superzoom compact featuring a 60× optical zoom covering 24-1440mm equivalent, the same extreme telephoto reach as the P600 predecessor. Updated with minor improvements over the P600. Fixed zoom — no interchangeable mount.

The P610 provides the same 1440mm equivalent telephoto reach as the P600 with minor refinements to video mode and connectivity. The tilting LCD assists above-the-head and low-angle composition at the telephoto end. The extreme reach is most practical in daylight for distant subjects.
