The Nikon F801 (N8008 in North America, 1988) is a semi-professional 35mm AF SLR from Nikon — a significant advance in the Nikon AF consumer line with Matrix metering, 3D Multi-Sensor Balanced Fill Flash, and 3.3fps motor drive. It bridges the F4 professional body and the F601 consumer body in Nikon's late-1980s range.

All Nikon F-mount lenses are compatible (AI through G-series). The 3D Multi-Sensor Balanced Fill Flash with SB-series Speedlights was a definitive flash system for its era.
