The Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 Pre-Ai is a fast standard prime from Nikon's pre-AI era — before the Automatic Indexing (AI) coupling ridge was introduced in 1977. Pre-AI lenses use a rabbit-ear prong for meter coupling. Nikon F mount.

f/1.4 maximum aperture. 50mm focal length (full-frame). Pre-AI metering coupling (rabbit-ear prong — no AI ridge). Manual focus. Nikon F mount.

Pre-AI Nikkors use the older rabbit-ear prong metering coupling rather than the AI index ridge.
