Nikon's perspective-control 28mm — shift lens with f/4 for architecture on F-mount.
The Nikon PC-Nikkor 28mm f/4 is a perspective-control shift lens for Nikon F-mount — wider than the earlier PC-Nikkor 35mm f/2.8 (ID 1451). It provides 11mm of shift at 28mm for correcting converging verticals.
Optically good — designed for the shift function with adequate image circle. The 28mm is wider than the 35mm PC — more practical for interior and close-range architectural work. Shift only — no tilt. Manual focus and aperture.
Nikon F mount. 11mm shift movement. Manual focus and aperture. 72mm filter thread. The 28mm is more practical for architecture than the earlier 35mm PC. Pre-AI on early versions — may need AI conversion.
Available used at mid-range prices. The PC-E 24mm f/3.5D ED added tilt and electronic controls — a massive improvement. This 28mm PC is shift-only. For budget shift needs or F-mount architectural film photography.
