S-line designation. 5.5-stop VR. At 1,245g with tripod collar and 95mm filter thread. Minimum focus distance of 2.5m. Compatible with Z 1.4x and 2x teleconverters.

The optical design uses 19 elements in 13 groups including 1 ED, 2 Super ED, and 1 SR (short wavelength refractive) element. Nine aperture blades. The 95mm filter thread.
