Optical performance is good for the class. Sharpness is respectable across the frame, particularly in the centre. The power zoom function provides smooth, consistent zoom speed ideal for video — a feature rarely found in this price bracket. VR stabilisation provides approximately 4.5 stops of correction, valuable for handheld video work.
