Nine elements in 7 groups (ED element). Seven aperture blades. The 58mm filter thread. At 305g. Minimum focus distance of 0.84m. MSC stepping motor AF. f/1.8 maximum aperture. Micro Four Thirds mount (150mm full-frame equivalent).
The 150mm equivalent at f/1.8 on Micro Four Thirds provides significant subject magnification and selective focus: the telephoto perspective compresses backgrounds while the f/1.8 aperture provides an equivalent depth-of-field to approximately f/3.6 on full-frame at the same field of view. The MSC motor provides quiet AF suited to video. The metal construction distinguishes it from plastic-mount budget lenses.
On the used market the Olympus M.Zuiko 75mm f/1.8 is available at MFT fast telephoto pricing. Condition checks: MSC AF response, 58mm front element for marks. Compatible with all Micro Four Thirds bodies.
