Olympus's popular auto-exposure film SLR — compact OM-system camera with aperture-priority auto.
The Olympus OM10 launched in 1979 as a compact, affordable automatic-exposure SLR in the Olympus OM system. It offered aperture-priority auto exposure in the characteristically small OM body — one of the most compact SLR designs ever made.
Aperture-priority auto exposure only — manual exposure requires an optional manual adapter accessory. The compact body uses Olympus's OM lens mount — one of the smallest SLR mount systems. Horizontal cloth focal plane shutter from 2s to 1/1000s.
35mm film format. Olympus OM mount — compact Zuiko lenses. Very compact body at approximately 430g without lens. Hot shoe. Self-timer. Battery required for metering and auto exposure. Film advance lever.
Available used very cheaply. The OM-1 and OM-2 are more desirable for their manual capabilities and build quality. The optional manual adapter is rarely found. Olympus Zuiko lenses are excellent and affordable. Check for sticky shutter and meter accuracy. A compact film SLR for beginners.
