The Olympus XA3 was released approximately 1985 as a compact 35mm film camera featuring a 28mm f/3.5 Zuiko lens and clamshell body design. Aperture-priority exposure. At approximately 175g. Includes A11 flash unit. Fixed 28mm prime.

The XA3 updates the XA series with DX coding (automatic ISO setting from cassette) and a 28mm perspective. The clamshell cover provides lens protection without a lens cap. At 175g the XA3 is a pocketable compact. The 28mm Zuiko lens provides a wide street and reportage perspective on 35mm film.
