The Panasonic AG-CX350, announced in January 2019, succeeded the UX180 at the top of the handheld broadcast range, unusually light at around 1.9kg ready to shoot.
A 1.0-type sensor with 20x zoom from 24.5mm equivalent, UHD 50/60p in 10-bit HEVC, 10-bit 4:2:2 HD and optional P2 MXF, with 3G-SDI, HDMI, wired LAN streaming and NDI|HX via a paid licence - designed IP-first.
It anticipated the streaming era a year before lockdown made IP video essential; UK churches, esports and conference AV bought them in quantity.
Used buying: verify the NDI|HX licence is activated in the network menu (it stays with the camera and adds real value); check hours and fan condition from unattended streaming, test the LAN port and SDI, and check the SD door catch - a known weak point.
