The Lumix DMC-FS41 is a small-sensor compact from Panasonic's FS series, sold from 2012 as an affordable everyday camera for buyers who wanted a simple point-and-shoot without interchangeable lenses.
It uses a 1/2.33-inch CCD sensor of 16.1 megapixels behind a 5x optical zoom lens spanning roughly 28-140mm equivalent, with Panasonic's Mega O.I.S. optical stabilisation. The rear 2.7-inch LCD is the sole means of framing, storage is on SD/SDHC/SDXC cards, and video tops out at 720p HD.
It follows the same automatic-first philosophy as siblings in the range, with intelligent auto and scene modes handling exposure, so there is little to differentiate it beyond a slightly longer zoom than the smallest FS models.
These sell cheaply used as basic family cameras; check zoom smoothness, that the pop-up flash fires reliably, and that the SD card door hinge is intact, since it is a known weak point on this generation of FS bodies.
