Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 — 12MP travel superzoom with 12x zoom and GPS, 2010 (TZ10)
The Lumix DMC-ZS7 is a pocketable travel superzoom Panasonic released in 2010, sold in Europe as the DMC-TZ10, extending the popular TZ/ZS line aimed at travellers wanting long reach in a compact body.
It uses a 12.1-megapixel 1/2.33-inch CCD sensor behind a Leica DC Vario-Elmar 12x optical zoom lens covering 25-300mm equivalent at f/3.3-4.9, with optical image stabilisation. A built-in GPS receiver geotags images, a 3.0-inch LCD handles composition, and video records at 720p AVCHD.
The built-in GPS was a distinguishing feature for its class at launch, letting travel photographers geotag shots automatically, while the long zoom range covers wide group shots through to distant detail in one lens.
Used ZS7s are common and cheap; check the GPS module still locks a signal, test the zoom for smooth extension without wobble, and confirm the battery door latch is intact since it is a known wear point on this body.
