The Panasonic Lumix G Macro 30mm f/2.8 ASPH. Mega O.I.S. launched in 2015 as a compact true 1:1 macro lens for Micro Four Thirds, providing 60mm equivalent. It offers macro capability with stabilisation in a remarkably small package.

Optically good at macro distances — sharp with good contrast for close-up work. The 60mm equivalent provides moderate working distance at 1:1 magnification. Mega O.I.S. stabilisation helps with handheld macro — a significant practical advantage. Quiet AF motor.

Micro Four Thirds mount with 46mm filter thread. Weighs just 180g — incredibly compact for a macro lens. No weather sealing. Minimum focus distance 10.5cm at 1:1. Aspherical elements. Also functions as a normal 60mm equiv prime.
