Seventeen elements in 12 groups. Seven aperture blades. The 46mm filter thread. At 360g the lens is compact for an f/2.8 telephoto zoom. Minimum focus distance of 0.85m. Power O.I.S. Stepping motor AF. f/2.8 constant aperture. Micro Four Thirds mount (70-200mm equivalent).
The Mark II revised the original 35-100mm f/2.8 with Power O.I.S. for coordination with Panasonic body IBIS via the Dual I.S. system. The 70-200mm equivalent range provides the classic telephoto zoom range at f/2.8 constant aperture at a very compact 360g — significantly lighter than equivalent full-frame 70-200mm f/2.8 designs at the cost of the MFT 2× depth-of-field.
On the used market the Panasonic 35-100mm f/2.8 II is available at MFT constant f/2.8 telephoto zoom pricing. Condition checks: Power OIS engagement, AF response, 46mm front element for marks. Compatible with all Micro Four Thirds bodies.
