Panasonic's ultra-tiny MFT camera with built-in EVF — one of the smallest interchangeable-lens cameras ever.
The Panasonic Lumix GM5 launched in 2014 as an incredibly compact Micro Four Thirds camera with a built-in electronic viewfinder — remarkable given its tiny size. It was barely larger than the EVF-less GM1 and offered enthusiast features in a near-compact-camera form factor.
The 16MP Live MOS sensor delivers good MFT image quality. 23-area contrast-detect AF. 5fps burst. 1080p Full HD video. 4K Photo not available on this model. The addition of the EVF over the GM1 was the headline feature in such a tiny body.
Ultra-compact body at just 211g — one of the lightest interchangeable-lens cameras. Built-in EVF at 1.166M dots — tiny but functional. 3-inch touchscreen. WiFi and NFC. Hot shoe. No built-in flash. Micro Four Thirds mount.
Very cheap used. The GM5 was discontinued without a successor — the GM line ended here. The tiny body limits ergonomics with anything but the smallest MFT lenses. A curiosity and a charming compact for MFT lens users who want absolute minimum size.
