Ricoh's K-mount film SLR — the KR-10 for Pentax K-mount lens compatibility.
The Ricoh KR-10 is a fully manual 35mm SLR introduced in 1980 using the Pentax K bayonet mount. Ricoh produced a range of K-mount compatible SLRs that accepted the full range of Pentax and third-party K-mount lenses. The KR-10 features aperture-coupled TTL metering and manual shutter speed selection in a compact all-mechanical body.
Pentax K bayonet mount, aperture-coupled TTL metering, manual shutter speeds (1 second to 1/1000s plus B), all-mechanical shutter, accepts any Pentax K-mount lens, standard hot shoe.
The KR-10 is a competent manual SLR for film photography using the extensive Pentax K-mount lens ecosystem. The all-mechanical shutter provides reliable timing independent of battery condition once the exposure is set. Ricoh's K-mount implementation is fully compatible with Pentax K and M-series lenses. A lesser-known but well-built alternative to Pentax's own K-mount bodies.
Test shutter accuracy at multiple speeds. Confirm TTL metering responds correctly to light changes. Inspect viewfinder for haze and mirror condition. Check battery compartment contacts. Light seals commonly need replacement at this age.
