The approachable 360 camera of the Theta line — compact, app-driven, 2016.
The 2016 Ricoh Theta SC is the consumer entry to the Theta 360 line: the Theta S's twin-lens imaging in a lighter, colourful body at a friendlier price.
It captures 14MP spherical stills and 1080p 360 video with the same f/2.0 twin fisheye optics as the S, 8GB of storage, and app control over Wi-Fi, minus the S's HDMI port and live-streaming extras.
Its role is the approachable 360 camera — the SC put spherical photography in casual hands and remains a cheap way into virtual-tour work where 4K isn't required.
Used prices are low; lens scratches are the main risk on the exposed fisheyes, and the sealed battery ages — confirm it still holds charge. Colour variants (blue, white, beige, pink) are cosmetic only.
