4K 360 capture with spatial audio — Ricoh's 2017 mainstream Theta.
The 2017 Ricoh Theta V was the first Theta to shoot 4K 360-degree video, pairing twin fisheye lenses with a Snapdragon-powered Android core in the signature candy-bar body.
It records 3840x1920 spherical video at 30fps with 4-channel spatial audio, offers 19GB of internal storage, live streaming over HDMI, and remote control through the Theta app.
Its significance is making the Theta line viable for professional virtual-tour and 360 video work — the V's speed and 4K output made it the estate-agent standard of its generation.
Used units are plentiful and affordable; check both fisheye lenses for scratches (they protrude and take hits), microphone port condition if spatial audio matters, and battery health — it is sealed and non-replaceable.
