The Samsung DV151F is a 2013 DualView smart compact — the same camera as the DV150F announced at CES in January 2013, sold under a regional variant code — combining Samsung's signature front selfie screen with Wi-Fi connectivity.
It uses a 16.2-megapixel 1/2.3-inch CCD sensor behind a bright f/2.5 25mm-equivalent wide end on a 5x optical zoom, with a 2.7-inch rear LCD, a 1.48-inch front LCD for self-portrait framing and kid-friendly animations, built-in Wi-Fi with Samsung's SMART features (remote viewfinder, direct sharing), 720p video and microSD storage on the ubiquitous BP70A battery.
As one of the final iterations of the DualView concept before smartphones fully absorbed the selfie market, and one of the last CCD compacts Samsung shipped, it sits in the sweet spot of the current retro-digicam wave — dual screens, pocketable, discontinued brand — which its 13 concurrent UK listings reflect.
UK used-buying checks: verify the front LCD lights and switches on demand, the model's defining feature; treat the Wi-Fi features as defunct (Samsung's companion apps are withdrawn) and transfer by card instead; check for lens errors on the 5x zoom; BP70A batteries and chargers are cheap and everywhere, so a missing charger is no dealbreaker; and confirm the model code on the base sticker (EC-DV151F...) so you know you're comparing like-for-like against DV150F listings, which are often cheaper for the identical camera.
