Samsung — 2011 compact from the PL series, related to the dual-screen PL120/PL121
The Samsung PL122 belongs to Samsung's PL series of 2011 compact cameras, best known for the dual-LCD PL120 and PL121 models that added a small front screen for self-portraits. The PL122 shares that generation's core design and positioning.
Cameras in this PL120/121/122 generation used a 1/2.3-inch CCD sensor at roughly 14.2 effective megapixels, a 5x zoom lens covering approximately 26-130mm equivalent (f/3.3-5.9), a 2.7-inch rear LCD around 230,000 dots, and SD/SDHC/microSD storage. Video recorded at up to 720p with Digital Image Stabilisation.
The front-facing secondary LCD used on siblings in this range let users frame self-portraits without guessing, predating the front-screen selfie cameras that later became common, geared toward casual social shooting.
These are inexpensive secondhand finds, valued more as a novelty dual-screen compact than for image quality. Check that both displays work without dead pixels, the zoom moves freely, and the battery door latch is intact.
