The Samsung WB35F is a travel-zoom compact from Samsung's Smart Camera range, launched in 2014 to bring built-in wireless sharing to a budget superzoom body aimed at casual travellers.
It carries a 16.2-megapixel CCD sensor around 1/2.3 inch behind a 12x optical zoom lens spanning roughly 24-288mm equivalent, with a 3.0-inch fixed LCD, built-in Wi-Fi and NFC for pairing with phones, and storage on microSD cards.
Unlike Samsung's touchscreen WB350F sibling, the WB35F keeps a simpler button-and-dial interface, trading touch control for a lower price while retaining the same long-reach lens, making it more point-and-shoot than enthusiast compact.
These now sell cheaply secondhand as smartphones absorbed the compact-camera market. Worthwhile checks include confirming the zoom lens racks smoothly, testing that Wi-Fi transfer connects, and inspecting the LCD for scratches.
